A Sweet Success: Recap of Our Ice Cream Social Event for Harvest House
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Ice Cream Social event, which took place in partnership with Häagen-Dazs to benefit Harvest House. The event was a delightful fusion of community spirit, delicious ice cream, and a worthy cause, held to support Harvest House’s Back 2 School drive for foster children in Guam.
The Event: A Day of Fun and Giving
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as families, friends, and community members gathered to enjoy free scoops of Häagen-Dazs ice cream. The event was held at Häagen-Dazs Guam’s GPO and Micronesia Mall locations, transforming it into a hub of joy and generosity. Every person who donated a backpack or school supplies received a free scoop, creating a perfect blend of sweetness and altruism.
Harvest House: Supporting Foster Children in Guam
Harvest House is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting foster children and families in Guam. Their Back 2 School drive is an essential initiative, ensuring that foster children have the necessary supplies to start the school year with confidence and enthusiasm. We were honored to partner with Harvest House for this event, knowing that each donation made a significant impact.
Community Spirit: Donations and Participation
The response from the community was overwhelming. We collected over 35 backpacks and an abundance of school supplies, including notebooks, pencils, crayons, and more. The generosity displayed by our community members was heartwarming, showcasing the collective commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of foster children.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Häagen-Dazs for their generous partnership and delicious ice cream, and to all the volunteers who made the event run smoothly.
